After 6 minutes, Hoàng Van Tai Em mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ANH DUNG DZAI and the Cheo Reo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hoàng Van Tai Em hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Đào Nghiêm-Minh was extremely unlucky when he, in the 13th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Phạm Minh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Đặng Liem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Phạm Minh made a precise shot to the right of Đặng Liem. Cheo Reo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Phạm Minh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 34 minutes into the match, ANH DUNG DZAI's goal looked a bit too open when Phan Quang Thanh came free, but Bùi Minh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dương Hoai hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Bùi Minh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phan Quang Thanh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bùi Minh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phan Quang Thanh in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Phan Quang Thanh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Bùi Minh came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Cheo Reo's Phan Quang Thanh. But to his dismay, Phan Quang Thanh quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Hoàng Tinh hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Đặng Liem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Đào Nghiêm-Minh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 63 minutes, Nguyễn Duy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cheo Reo and the ANH DUNG DZAI players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of ANH DUNG DZAI booed when Cheo Reo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Duy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cheo Reo's Đặng Liem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phạm Minh in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th match minute, Cheo Reo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bùi Tuan to maneuver through the defense. Đặng Liem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phạm Minh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nguyễn Bay charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nguyễn Bay the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 70th minute, Nguyễn Bay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Đặng Liem didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Đào Nghiêm-Minh went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Hoàng Van Tai Em kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Phan Quang Thanh fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Cheo Reo's Đặng Liem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Đào Nghiêm-Minh in the 79th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Phan Thi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cheo Reo's supporters rose to their feet, but Phan Thi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bùi Minh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Phan Quang Thanh's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bùi Minh read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Phạm Minh kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. If Phạm Minh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Trần Hieu hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Bùi Minh made an important save on a dangerous shot by Phan Quang Thanh in the 93rd minute. Đặng Liem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phạm Minh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hoàng Tinh took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Đặng Liem. Cheo Reo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. ANH DUNG DZAI's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
