Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Nguyễn Minh-ha started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nguyễn Minh-ha in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Phan Hong Minh saved Nam Dinh from getting behind. Cau Hai were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after Nam Dinh's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nguyễn Duy took the corner. The corner ended in Nguyễn Duy almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Nam Dinh's Phan Hong Minh did a great save. In the 10th minute, Nguyễn Tuan fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of La Cadeo, passed just outside the right post. Lê Cuc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. La Cadeo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Lương Binh's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Phan Hong Minh was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Cau Hai's zone, Lê Cuc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. La Cadeo came out of the goal and Lê Cuc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lê Cuc got in the 31st a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but La Cadeo handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cau Hai's goalkeeper La Cadeo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nguyễn Tuan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. La Cadeo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Phan Hong Minh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Minh-ha, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Nguyễn Minh-ha took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Phan Hong Minh. Phan Hong Minh dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Nguyễn Tuan made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lương Binh got free with Phan Hong Minh in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Nguyễn Minh-ha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Phan Hong Minh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Minh-ha, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After 63 played minutes Cau Hai got a freekick which was hit by Huỳnh Hanh. In the 64th minute, Lương Binh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lê Cuc might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over La Cadeo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lê Cuc ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Cau Hai defense, Lê Cuc kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of La Cadeo. The Cau Hai fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that La Cadeo should have stopped the shot. Phan Hong Minh stood somewhat misplaced when Nguyễn Minh-ha came free in front of goal and shot 1-3 to the left of him in the 75 minute. Lương Binh might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Phan Hong Minh. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lương Binh ran back to his position shaking his head. Cau Hai's La Cadeo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lê Cuc in the 83rd minute of play. 84 minutes into the game, Bùi Liem was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cau Hai's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nam Dinh the free kick. In the 84th match minute, Cau Hai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bùi Liem to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Nguyễn Tuan sped through Cau Hai's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of La Cadeo. In the 93rd minute Nguyễn Minh-ha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phan Hong Minh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. La Cadeo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Tuan in the 95th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cau Hai walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
