Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Hồ Quang started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Kontum's Võ Dong got a free kick in the 2nd minute. In the 4th minute, Hồ Quang got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 7 minutes into the game, Phạm Dung recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nguyễn Thuyet. Phạm Dung showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Ba Ria's Đặng Ritchell got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Phạm Dung received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Nguyễn Thuyet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trần Duong hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 24thth minute of the game Hồ Quang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kontum's Nguyễn Cong Vinh was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dương Chung in the 26thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nguyễn Thuyet, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Dương Chung received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Nguyễn Thuyet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Kontum's Phạm Dung sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nguyễn Thuyet narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 34 minutes, Hồ Quang made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Kontum's Nguyễn Cong Vinh tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hồ Quang in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nguyễn Cong Vinh prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Đặng Ritchell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 44 in the game by Dương Chung from a close distance when the talented Nguyễn Thuyet managed to make a qualified save. Ba Ria's players were relieved. 46 minutes into the match, Ba Ria's goal looked a bit too open when Phạm Dung came free, but Nguyễn Thuyet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 48 minutes, Trần Duong mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ba Ria and the Kontum players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the match had been going on for 50 minutes, Kontum's Nguyễn Dong got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Nguyễn Thuyet.
The Kontum fans' excitement grew in the 69th match minute when Kontum's Dương Chung looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 74 played minutes Ba Ria got a freekick which was hit by Hồ Quang. 76 minutes into the match, Dương Chung notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Ba Ria's Nguyễn Thuyet. Nguyễn Thuyet was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 80 minutes into the match, Kontum's goal looked a bit too open when Hồ Quang came free, but Nguyễn Cong Vinh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Đặng Ritchell came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Ba Ria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Đặng Ritchell couldn't finish the play. Đặng Ritchell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Nguyễn Cong Vinh made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Hồ Quang took a quick shot and it went in 4-2 without a chance for Nguyễn Cong Vinh to make any attempt to save it. In the 98th minute Dương Chung shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Thuyet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phạm Dung in the 100th minute of play forced Ba Ria's goalkeeper Nguyễn Thuyet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kontum were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ba Ria for a fine match.
