Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Nguyễn Loc made the kick off and thus started the match. Lê Hoang hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 12th match minute, Mui Ne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Võ Bien to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mui Ne's goalkeeper Ngô Thien, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 0-1 became the score in the 19th minute when Nguyễn Loc elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 1-1 became the score in the 23rd minute when Phan Dung elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Phạm Van Quyen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Đào Duc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute, Nguyễn Diem left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Son Tay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Đào Duc was extremely unlucky when he, in the 37th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 39 minutes into the game, one of Son Tay:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 49th minute of the match Nguyễn Cadeo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ngô Thien skillfully saved the ball. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The supporters of Son Tay booed when Mui Ne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trần Loc didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nguyễn Loc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nguyễn Diem took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ngô Thien. Ngô Thien dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. If Nguyễn Diem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 79 minutes into the match, Đào Duc had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nguyễn Nhật Minh. Son Tay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Đào Duc was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. Phạm Van Quyen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Phạm Van Quyen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nguyễn Nhật Minh was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. When Nguyễn Loc came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Son Tay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nguyễn Loc couldn't finish the play. When Phan Dung fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mui Ne's protests and gave Phan Dung a yellow card for diving instead. After 92 played minutes Mui Ne got a freekick which was hit by Phan Dung. Ngô Thien made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Nguyễn Diem sent off a good shot on target. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
