Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hồ Quang kicked off to start the match. If Phan Quang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Đặng Ritchell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Nguyễn Phong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Trần Hung got free with Nguyễn Thuyet in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lê Pham hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Nguyễn Thuyet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phan Quang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Trần Hung had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Bu Dop booed when Ba Ria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Ritchell didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Hồ Quang came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Ba Ria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hồ Quang couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Bu Dop getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Nguyễn Tinh hit a great ball. Hồ Quang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Phong having to interfere. Trần Duong kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Bu Dop's Phan Quang got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ba Ria! Nguyễn Thuyet went to the wrong direction when Đặng Thi was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Phan Quang stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Trần Hung came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Bu Dop fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Trần Hung couldn't finish the play. Đặng Ritchell charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Đặng Ritchell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 56 played minutes Ba Ria got a freekick which was hit by Đặng Ritchell. Nguyễn Phong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hồ Quang in the 59th minute of play. Đặng Ritchell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nguyễn Phong made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Đặng Ritchell sent off a good shot on target. In the 75th minute, Ba Ria's Hồ Quang ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nguyễn Phong. Nguyễn Phong yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. If Lê Pham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trần Hung blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nguyễn Thuyet having to make a save. If Phan Quang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ba Ria's Hồ Bien got a free kick in the 94th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Ba Ria's Hồ Quang slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nguyễn Phong. That made the score 0-3 after 98 minutes of play. The Ba Ria players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
