After having played for 3 minutes, Lê Liem managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Phu Yen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lê Liem was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lê Lien hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 6th minute, Phạm Hung hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Phạm Tho might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lê Nguyet. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Phạm Tho ran back to his position shaking his head. 17 minutes into the match, Phu Yen's goal looked a bit too open when Phan Thi Ngoc came free, but Lê Nguyet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Trần Ho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Phan Thi Ngoc received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lê Nguyet came out and tried to block the shot, but Phan Thi Ngoc slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 22nd minute. Lê Lien hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Nguyễn Hanh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trần Ho in the 26th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Phạm Tho got free with Lê Nguyet in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lê Nguyet was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Nguyễn Cadeo. In the 34th minute, Phạm Hung hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Phan Thi Ngoc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 42 minutes, Phạm Tho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lê Liem stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. VuStorm's Nguyễn Hanh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lê Liem in the 52nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Trần Ho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Phu Yen's supporters rose to their feet, but Trần Ho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nguyễn Hanh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of VuStorm booed when Phu Yen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phạm Huỳnh didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute Lê Liem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Hanh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lê Nguyet stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Phạm Tho's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. A collision led to Phu Yen getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Phạm Huỳnh hit a great ball. Phan Thi Ngoc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 68 minutes into the game, Phạm Huỳnh was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Phu Yen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VuStorm the free kick. The supporters of VuStorm booed when Phu Yen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phạm Huỳnh didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phan Thi Ngoc in the 74th minute of play forced Phu Yen's goalkeeper Lê Nguyet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute, Phạm Tho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Phan Thi Ngoc in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lê Nguyet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 79 played minutes Phu Yen got a freekick which was hit by Lê Liem. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lê Liem in the 81st minute of play forced VuStorm's goalkeeper Nguyễn Hanh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Phạm Tho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lê Nguyet. Phu Yen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Phạm Tho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The audience was convinced that Lê Liem's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nguyễn Hanh was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Lê Nguyet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phan Thi Ngoc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. VuStorm's Nguyễn Hanh proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save VuStorm from getting a goal against them. Phạm Tho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Lê Nguyet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. VuStorm were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Phu Yen for a fine match.
