Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Nguyễn Cuc made the kick off and thus started the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Ba Ria's Nguyễn Cuc slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lê Nguyet. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Ba Ria's Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh got a free kick in the 7th minute. Lê Dung showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phạm Hung in the 13th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Phạm Huỳnh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Nguyễn Cuc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the game, Lý Hung was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ba Ria's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Phu Yen the free kick. Lý Hung hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the match, Phu Yen's Lê Quang Thanh broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Trần Tu kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Ba Ria's Chung Hung sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lê Nguyet narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Chung Hung came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Ba Ria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chung Hung couldn't finish the play. Phạm Huỳnh hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After 31 played minutes Phu Yen got a freekick which was hit by Phạm Huỳnh. In the 32nd minute of the match, Chung Hung got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lê Nguyet was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Phạm Hung received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Lê Dung tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 39 minutes of play Ba Ria's Lý Hung was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Ba Ria getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Lý Hung hit a great ball. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ba Ria's goalkeeper Lê Dung, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Phạm Hung had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Phu Yen's Lê Nguyet got control of the ball when Chung Hung tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Phạm Hung made a kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Trần Tu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Phu Yen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Trần Tu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Phu Yen booed when Ba Ria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chung Hung didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lê Dung made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Lê Liem sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Chung Hung's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lê Nguyet was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lê Liem in the 69th minute of play forced Ba Ria's goalkeeper Lê Dung to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Phu Yen's zone, Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lê Nguyet came out of the goal and Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chung Hung fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lê Nguyet having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Phu Yen's Phạm Huỳnh got a free kick in the 75th minute. Ba Ria's Lê Dung proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Ba Ria from getting a goal against them. Lê Liem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Lê Dung tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lê Dung showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phạm Hung in the 87th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chung Hung in the 91st minute of play forced Phu Yen's goalkeeper Lê Nguyet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Phạm Hung fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lê Dung having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Nguyễn Cuc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ba Ria's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
