Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Đặng Bien kicked off to start the match. 7 minutes into the match, Rach Gia's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Tuyet came free, but Trần Mai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Đặng Bien in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Liễu Quang prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nguyễn Tinh came free with the goalkeeper in the 18th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Liễu Quang could save by the left post. If Nguyễn Tran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Đặng Bien recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lê Cuc charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lê Cuc the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 28th match minute, Rach Gia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lê Cuc to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute, Đào Huynh Duc sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Rach Gia's Trần Mai didn't even have to move. Trần Mai didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cao Lanh. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nguyễn Tuyet to strike the kick off in the second half. Nguyễn Tuyet kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Nguyễn Tinh's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Liễu Quang read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Đặng Bien might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Liễu Quang. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Đặng Bien ran back to his position shaking his head. If Nguyễn Tinh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Đặng Bien fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liễu Quang having to interfere. Nguyễn Tran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Đặng Bien kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Đặng Bien scored 2-1 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Liễu Quang, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Cao Lanh booed when Rach Gia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trần Cuc didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th match minute, Rach Gia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lê Cuc to maneuver through the defense. 91 minutes in the game, Nguyễn Tuyet dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. With a little luck, Rach Gia's Trần Mai got control of the ball when Lê Loc tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rach Gia were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Cao Lanh for a fine match.
