Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Hoàng Cuc got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th minute Phan Phu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vương Huynh Duc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Phan Phu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vương Huynh Duc having to interfere. After having played for 13 minutes, Trần Loc managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tuyen Quang's supporters crossed their fingers, but Trần Loc was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Trần Loc's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vương Huynh Duc was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Nguyễn Thi Ngoc came free with the goalkeeper in the 24th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Trần Nguyet could save by the left post. Trần Loc might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vương Huynh Duc. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Trần Loc ran back to his position shaking his head. If Phan Phu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

After 53 minutes, Nguyễn Quang mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Son Tay and the Tuyen Quang players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nguyễn Quang kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. When Trần Loc came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Tuyen Quang fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Trần Loc couldn't finish the play. Nguyễn Thi Ngoc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Trần Nguyet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Phan Phu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vương Huynh Duc came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Tuyen Quang's Phan Phu. But to his dismay, Phan Phu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Hoàng Cuc came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Son Tay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hoàng Cuc couldn't finish the play. Phan Phu had several of the Son Tay's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 79 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Vương Huynh Duc as he didn't even see the shot coming. Nguyễn Thi Ngoc's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Trần Nguyet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Trần Nghiêm-Minh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Trần Nguyet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hoàng Cuc in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Son Tay's goalkeeper Vương Huynh Duc had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Phan Phu. When the final whistle sounded Tuyen Quang left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Son Tay.
