Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Hoàng Cuc started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. If Nguyễn Thanh Bình had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Nguyễn Thanh Bình's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vương Huynh Duc was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Nguyễn Thi Ngoc who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Lê Nga when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Hoàng Cuc did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Lê Nga 12 minutes into the match. Nguyễn Cuc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Vương Huynh Duc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Son Tay's Nguyễn Duy got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute, Nguyễn Thanh Bình got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nguyễn Thanh Bình in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vương Huynh Duc saved Son Tay from getting behind. In the 21st minute, Hoàng Cuc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Nguyễn Cuc managed to get in a good position for a shot. Binh Duong's supporters rose to their feet, but Nguyễn Cuc was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vương Huynh Duc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nguyễn Cuc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nguyễn Cuc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Cuc in the 38th minute of play forced Son Tay's goalkeeper Vương Huynh Duc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hoàng Cuc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lê Nga was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Hoàng Cuc capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hoàng Cuc really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nguyễn Cuc stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lê Nga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hoàng Cuc in the 55th minute of the match. Nguyễn Cuc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vương Huynh Duc having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Son Tay's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Cuc came free, but Vương Huynh Duc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vương Huynh Duc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nguyễn Cuc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Son Tay's Nguyễn Tấn Dũng got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Vương Huynh Duc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Cuc in the 66th minute of play. With his leg Vương Huynh Duc managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Binh Duong's Nguyễn Thanh Bình fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Binh Duong booed when Son Tay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Tấn Dũng didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hoàng Cuc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Son Tay were victorious despite being under pressure from Binh Duong for much of the match.
