Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Do Son's Phan Tong started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Phan Tong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lê Van Tai Em made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Cuc in the 10th minute of play. Phan Tong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lê Nga having to interfere. Phan Tong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Lê Thuyet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Do Son's goalkeeper Lê Van Tai Em had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nguyễn Thanh Bình. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Nguyễn Cuc managed to get in a good position for a shot. Binh Duong's supporters rose to their feet, but Nguyễn Cuc was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lê Van Tai Em breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Huỳnh Thanh Bình took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lê Van Tai Em. Lê Van Tai Em dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Nguyễn Cuc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lê Van Tai Em having to interfere. A collision led to Do Son getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Đoàn Thai hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Do Son's zone, Nguyễn Cuc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lê Van Tai Em came out of the goal and Nguyễn Cuc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nguyễn Cuc made a kick off. Phan Tong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Lê Nga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Do Son's Phan Tong got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Huỳnh Thanh Bình kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Do Son's zone, Nguyễn Cuc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lê Van Tai Em came out of the goal and Nguyễn Cuc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Binh Duong's Nguyễn Cuc in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Do Son's goalie prevented a goal. If Nguyễn Cuc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute, Phan Tong made a precise shot to the right of Lê Nga. Binh Duong's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After some careless play in the Do Son defense, Nguyễn Thanh Bình kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lê Van Tai Em. The Do Son fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lê Van Tai Em should have stopped the shot. Lê Van Tai Em took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nguyễn Cuc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Phan Tong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phan Tong in the 90th minute of play forced Binh Duong's goalkeeper Lê Nga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lê Van Tai Em made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Thanh Bình in the 91st minute of play. When Nguyễn Thanh Bình came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Binh Duong fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nguyễn Thanh Bình couldn't finish the play. Lê Nga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phan Tong in the 95th minute of play. Binh Duong's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
