Beast's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Son the free kick. The supporters of The Son booed when Beast was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trần Teo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 11 played minutes The Son got a freekick which was hit by Trần Thien. Trần Teo hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Beast's Tôn Nga got a free kick in the 26th minute. After 30th play minutes Phạm Ritchell shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Vũ Tấn Dũng and just under the crossbar into goal. If Trần Tuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 39 minutes into the game, Lê Dinh recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vũ Tấn Dũng. Lê Dinh showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After having played for 45 minutes, Lê Dinh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Trần Tuan made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Tôn Nga recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Trịnh Cuc. Tôn Nga showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Trần Teo got his second yellow card in the match during the 57th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of The Son booed when Beast was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trần Teo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Phan Phuoc didn't quite understand what happened when in the 59 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Phạm Ritchell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vũ Tấn Dũng having to interfere. In the 70th minute there was a penalty for The Son. Đỗ Nghiêm-Minh stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Vũ Tấn Dũng. 3-1. Phạm Ritchell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Beast's zone, Lê Dinh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vũ Tấn Dũng came out of the goal and Lê Dinh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lê Dinh struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Vũ Tấn Dũng didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Son. In the 97th minute, Phạm Ritchell left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Son fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The The Son fans cheered their team off the field, for while Beast had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
