Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lê Dinh started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nguyễn Duong got free with Trịnh Cuc in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 5 minutes, Lê Dinh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Son's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lê Dinh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Lizg's Nguyễn Thuy got a free kick in the 8th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Lizg's goal looked a bit too open when Phạm Ritchell came free, but Trần Phuong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Lê Dinh sped through Lizg's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Trần Phuong. In the 28th minute, Phạm Ritchell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Trần Phuong was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Lê Dinh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Phuong having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Phạm Ritchell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Trần Phuong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lê Dinh in the 41st minute of the match. In the 44th match minute, Lizg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Thuy to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nguyễn Duong was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, Trần Binh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Trịnh Cuc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Duong in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Lê Dinh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Trịnh Cuc stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lê Phuc's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. A collision led to Lizg getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Nguyễn Hoang hit a great ball. After 68 played minutes, The Son's Đỗ Nghiêm-Minh shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Trần Phuong came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in The Son reached it. After a rather tough play, Lizg's Nguyễn Duong got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 75th minute, Nguyễn Duong fired away a hard free kick towards the goal. Trịnh Cuc moved to his left, but didn't have to make a save as the ball went out of bounds. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lê Phuc in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Trịnh Cuc saved The Son from getting behind. Trần Phuong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lê Dinh in the 82nd minute of the match. Trần Phuong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lê Dinh in the 84th minute of play. Trịnh Cuc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lê Phuc in the 89th minute of play. In the 90th minute Nguyễn Duong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trịnh Cuc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, The Son's Phạm Ritchell sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Trần Phuong narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Nguyễn Duong came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Lizg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nguyễn Duong couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in The Son's zone, Lê Phuc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trịnh Cuc came out of the goal and Lê Phuc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. The Son had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
