Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Trần Tuan got the match started through his kick off. Bùi Viet took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vũ Tấn Dũng. Vũ Tấn Dũng dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Trần Loc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Beast defense, Bùi Viet kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vũ Tấn Dũng. The Beast fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vũ Tấn Dũng should have stopped the shot. When Bùi Viet came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Dong Son fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bùi Viet couldn't finish the play. When Ngô Diem fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Beast's protests and gave Ngô Diem a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Beast's Ngô Diem got a free kick in the 12th minute. With a little luck, Dong Son's Nguyễn Anh Hung got control of the ball when Tôn Nga tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Trần Tuan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nguyễn Anh Hung. That made the score 1-2 in the 20 minute of play. A hard shot 24 in the game by Tôn Nga from a close distance when the talented Nguyễn Anh Hung managed to make a qualified save. Dong Son's players were relieved. Trần Loc might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vũ Tấn Dũng. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Trần Loc ran back to his position shaking his head. Tôn Nga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Anh Hung having to interfere. Tôn Nga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Nguyễn Anh Hung tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beast's Tôn Nga got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Beast players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Dong Son were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Trần Loc made the kick off in the second half. If Trần Tuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bùi Viet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Vũ Tấn Dũng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Trần Loc got free with Vũ Tấn Dũng in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Trần Loc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 64th minute Trần Loc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vũ Tấn Dũng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 65 played minutes Beast got a freekick which was hit by Ngô Diem. Nguyễn Anh Hung took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tôn Nga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vũ Tấn Dũng was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Trần Loc showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 75 minute of play. Vũ Tấn Dũng was a little too slow when Bùi Viet got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 1-4. 84 minutes into the match, Dong Son's Trần Loc sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vũ Tấn Dũng narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 87th match minute, Dong Son was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Hong to maneuver through the defense. 88 minutes into the match, Dong Son's goal looked a bit too open when Trần Tuan came free, but Nguyễn Anh Hung reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Bùi Viet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bùi Viet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Vũ Tấn Dũng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trần Teo charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Trần Teo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Beast getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Trần Teo hit a great ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Dong Son eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
