Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bạc Liêu's Nguyễn Minh started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Trần Duc's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 5thth minute, Dương Khoi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nguyễn Tuan in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nguyễn Tan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 29 minutes of play, Tuyen Quang's Nguyễn Tuan made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nguyễn Tan was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 35 minutes, Nguyễn Cadeo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bạc Liêu and the Tuyen Quang players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Tuyen Quang booed when Bạc Liêu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Cadeo didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Nguyễn Tuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dương Khoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Minh, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Nguyễn Cuc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nguyễn Tuan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th minute, Nguyễn Minh fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
Nguyễn Tan made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Nguyễn Cuc sent off a good shot on target. Dương Khoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Minh in the 57th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Tuyen Quang's Nguyễn Cuc got a free kick in the 59th minute. Trần Duc's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dương Khoi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. After 60 played minutes Tuyen Quang got a freekick which was hit by Hoàng Binh. In the 61st minute Trần Duc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dương Khoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Trần Duc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Bạc Liêu's Trần Duc in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tuyen Quang's goalie prevented a goal. Nguyễn Minh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nguyễn Minh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dương Khoi having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Nguyễn Cuc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Trần Duc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Dương Khoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Trần Duc came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Bạc Liêu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Trần Duc couldn't finish the play. If Nguyễn Cuc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
