Trần Tinh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phạm Diem in the 11th minute of the match. Trần Tinh didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nguyễn Hong Minh went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Phạm Diem took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Trần Tinh. Trần Tinh dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 21 minutes into the match, Binh Phuoc's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Hong Minh came free, but Trần Tinh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Huỳnh Cuc in the 32nd minute of play forced Ha Tinh's goalkeeper Lê Cadeo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trần Tinh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Hong Minh in the 33rd minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Binh Phuoc's goal looked a bit too open when Phạm Diem came free, but Trần Tinh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 42nd minute by Trần Tuyet got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 45 minutes into the match, Binh Phuoc's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Hong Minh came free, but Trần Tinh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Trần Tuyet was the one to do the kick off. Trần Phu charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Trần Phu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 51 played minutes Ha Tinh got a freekick which was hit by Trần Phu. Huỳnh Cuc struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Lê Cadeo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Binh Phuoc. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Huỳnh Cuc managed to get in a good position for a shot. Binh Phuoc's supporters rose to their feet, but Huỳnh Cuc was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lê Cadeo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Phạm Hung kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Binh Phuoc defense, Nguyễn Chung kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Trần Tinh. The Binh Phuoc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Trần Tinh should have stopped the shot. 74 minutes into the match, Trần Tuyet notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Ha Tinh's Lê Cadeo. Lê Cadeo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 79th minute of the match, Trần Phu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Trần Tinh was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Trần Tinh made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Phạm Diem sent off a good shot on target. 85 minutes into the match, Trần Tuyet had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lê Cadeo. Ha Tinh's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Trần Tuyet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. In the 90th minute, Trần Tuyet ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lê Cadeo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-4. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ha Tinh's goalkeeper Lê Cadeo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Ha Tinh getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Hồ Lam hit a great ball.
