When Hoàng Loc came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Saka fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hoàng Loc couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Saka's Võ Hoai got a free kick in the 17th minute. Binh Phuoc's Trần Tinh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hoàng Loc in the 21st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hoàng Loc in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Trần Tinh saved Binh Phuoc from getting behind. In the 24th minute, Hoàng Loc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Huỳnh Duc struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Trần Tinh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saka. An unexpectedly hard shot by Huỳnh Duc in the 27th minute of play forced Binh Phuoc's goalkeeper Trần Tinh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute, Phạm Hung hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
