Phạm Tinh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Đào Thien, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Phạm Tinh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Đào Thien in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th match minute, Saka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lê Minh-ha to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute of the match, Hoàng Loc tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nguyễn Anh Hung saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The attack was good, but when Hoàng Loc in the 31st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Phạm Tinh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phan Phuong in the 33rd minute of play. Saka's Phạm Tinh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Đào Thien in the 35th minute of play. After 45th play minutes Đào Thien shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Phạm Tinh and just under the crossbar into goal.

The wind increased when Hoàng Loc made the kick off in the second half. Nguyễn Lien who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Phạm Tinh when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A hard shot 54 in the game by Nguyễn Lien from a close distance when the talented Phạm Tinh managed to make a qualified save. Saka's players were relieved. In the 62ndth minute of the game Hoàng Loc who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TPHCM's Nguyễn Anh Hung was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Saka's zone, Đào Thien stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Phạm Tinh came out of the goal and Đào Thien tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lê Van Tai Em kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Trần Hoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the match, TPHCM's goal looked a bit too open when Hoàng Loc came free, but Nguyễn Anh Hung reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Phạm Tinh stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Đào Thien's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Trần Viet kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Nguyễn Anh Hung took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Huỳnh Duc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
