Nguyễn Phuc's late challenge caught a Bien Hoa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nguyễn Phuc helped the player get up and apologised. Nguyễn Phuc kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Nguyễn Thuyet blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nguyễn Phuong having to make a save. Phan Mai's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nguyễn Loc read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to Tuyen Quang getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Lê Hung hit a great ball. Nguyễn Loc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phan Mai in the 30th minute of the match. Nguyễn Hieu hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Nguyễn Lien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Nguyễn Loc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Nguyễn Thuyet in the 39th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Phạm Dong struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Nguyễn Phuong didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bien Hoa. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
In the 52nd minute of the match, Nguyễn Hieu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nguyễn Phuong was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a little luck, Tuyen Quang's Nguyễn Phuong got control of the ball when Nguyễn Thuyet tried to sneak it across the goal line. Phan Mai scored 1-0 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nguyễn Loc, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nguyễn Loc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nguyễn Phuong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phan Mai in the 71st minute of play forced Bien Hoa's goalkeeper Nguyễn Loc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute Nguyễn Phuong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Loc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Phan Mai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Loc having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Phan Mai in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nguyễn Loc prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nguyễn Phuong made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Nguyễn Thuyet sent off a good shot on target. Nguyễn Thuyet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Nguyễn Phuong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tuyen Quang's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
