Crazy Man's Nguyễn Hoang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Dinh in the 31st minute of play. Lương Lam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Hoang having to interfere. Nguyễn Chi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nguyễn Hoang. Crazy Man's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 41st minute, Đỗ Thanh Bình got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hòa Binh FC's Lương Lam got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The audience was convinced that Nguyễn Dinh's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nguyễn Hoang was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Đỗ Thanh Bình received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Huỳnh Tuan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Crazy Man fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nguyễn Hoang should have stopped the shot. Huỳnh Tuan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Huỳnh Quang Thanh in the 79th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, Nguyễn Dinh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lương Lam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nguyễn Hoang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nguyễn Dinh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th match minute, Crazy Man was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Đặng Dung to maneuver through the defense. Hòa Binh FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
