Phan Pham succeeded in the game's 3rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. In the 8th minute Phan Pham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Viet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in 7-1 FC's zone, Phan Pham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nguyễn Viet came out of the goal and Phan Pham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind 7-1 FC's goalkeeper Nguyễn Viet, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nguyễn Viet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phan Dinh in the 12th minute of the match. Phan Pham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Nguyễn Viet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nguyễn Viet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Phan Dinh in the 15th minute. Phan Dinh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Nguyễn Viet came out and tried to block the shot, but Phan Pham slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 23rd minute. A collision led to 7-1 FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Trần Hieu Ngan hit a great ball. Nguyễn Viet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phan Pham in the 28th minute of the match. In the 32nd match minute, 7-1 FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phan Bien to maneuver through the defense. After 33 played minutes Gia Ngh got a freekick which was hit by Vũ Thanh. Phan Pham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Nguyễn Viet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Phan Dinh had several of the 7-1 FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 37 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Nguyễn Viet as he didn't even see the shot coming. 41 minutes into the match, 7-1 FC's goal looked a bit too open when Phan Pham came free, but Nguyễn Viet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute Phan Pham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Viet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Phan Nga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Phan Pham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Nguyễn Viet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Phan Pham stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nguyễn Viet came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Gia Ngh's Phan Dinh. But to his dismay, Phan Dinh quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Nguyễn Viet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phan Pham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 7-1 FC's Nguyễn Viet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phan Pham in the 70th minute of play. Nguyễn Viet stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Phan Dinh's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Phan Pham sped through 7-1 FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nguyễn Viet. Nguyễn Viet didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Phan Pham went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Phan Pham scored 7-0 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nguyễn Viet, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 88 minutes into the game, Lý Nam cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Nguyễn Viet was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Phan Pham in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nguyễn Viet saved 7-1 FC from getting behind. If Phan Dinh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gia Ngh's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
