DA NANG's supporters crossed their fingers, but La Anh Hung was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lê Hieu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Trần Cuc having to make a save. When La Anh Hung came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the DA NANG fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that La Anh Hung couldn't finish the play. Phạm Tấn Dũng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vũ Dung in the 23rd minute of play. DA NANG's Lê Hieu got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Trần Pham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If La Anh Hung had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Phạm Tấn Dũng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Dung in the 36th minute of play. Huỳnh Phuong hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Lê Hieu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Cuc having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Melvin Mabanag hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

In the 52nd match minute, Dream League Soccer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Dinh to maneuver through the defense. Trần Cuc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from La Anh Hung in the 54th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, DA NANG's goal looked a bit too open when Đỗ Anh Hung came free, but Phạm Tấn Dũng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Dream League Soccer's zone, Trần Pham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trần Cuc came out of the goal and Trần Pham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lê Hieu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot by Nguyễn Dung from long distance, 64 minutes into the match, got Phạm Tấn Dũng's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Trần Cuc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trần Pham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Trần Pham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Phạm Tấn Dũng was out of position in the 71 minute of play, and Nguyễn Dinh capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nguyễn Dinh really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. Trần Cuc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lê Hieu, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trần Pham in the 77th minute of play forced Dream League Soccer's goalkeeper Trần Cuc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the game, Phan Khoi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dream League Soccer's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DA NANG the free kick.
