Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Lưu Phu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nguyễn Cadeo got free with Hoàng Thi Ngoc in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Trần Tho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Trần Minh-ha kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Lưu Phu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hoàng Thi Ngoc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trần Tho struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Nguyễn Pham didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kontum. Trần Tho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Pham having to interfere. In the 25th minute of the match, Nguyễn Cadeo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Hoàng Thi Ngoc was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Trần Tho in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nguyễn Pham saved Son La from getting behind. When Nguyễn Khoi fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kontum's protests and gave Nguyễn Khoi a yellow card for diving instead. Nguyễn Khoi hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute, Nguyễn Binh sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Kontum's Hoàng Thi Ngoc didn't even have to move. Son La's Nguyễn Cadeo got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nguyễn Cadeo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Hoàng Thi Ngoc skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 40th minute, Son La's Lưu Phu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Trần Minh-ha took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nguyễn Pham. Son La's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Trần Tho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Trần Tho to strike the kick off in the second half. If Nguyễn Cadeo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nguyễn Hung kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. When Trần Tho came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Kontum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Trần Tho couldn't finish the play. In the 59th minute, Phan Xuan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Lưu Phu came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Son La fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lưu Phu couldn't finish the play. When Lưu Phu, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 64 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Hoàng Thi Ngoc was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Trần Tho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nguyễn Pham having to make a save. In the 67th match minute, Son La was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Binh to maneuver through the defense. Trần Tho scored 1-1 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nguyễn Pham, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tôn Tấn Dũng struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Nguyễn Pham didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kontum. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Son La's goalkeeper Nguyễn Pham, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tôn Tấn Dũng could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Nguyễn Pham made a huge save. In the 78th minute Nguyễn Cadeo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hoàng Thi Ngoc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lưu Phu kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Hoàng Thi Ngoc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lưu Phu, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Hoàng Thi Ngoc came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Son La's Lưu Phu. But to his dismay, Lưu Phu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
