The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the last second Nguyễn Pham throw himself and got hold of the ball when Mai Huynh Duc in the 4thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mai Huynh Duc in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nguyễn Pham prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 7 minutes into the match, Manchester Dr Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Cadeo came free, but Nguyễn Phu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manchester Dr Fc's Nguyễn Hoang got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Trần Diem kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Manchester Dr Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Lưu Phu came free, but Nguyễn Phu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mai Huynh Duc in the 27th minute of play forced Son La's goalkeeper Nguyễn Pham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nguyễn Pham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mai Huynh Duc, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Nguyễn Cadeo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Phu having to interfere. Lưu Phu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Manchester Dr Fc's Nguyễn Hoang slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nguyễn Pham. That made the score 2-0 after 46 minutes of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

In the 64th match minute, Son La was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hoàng Cuc to maneuver through the defense. Nguyễn Nguyet's late challenge caught a Manchester Dr Fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nguyễn Nguyet helped the player get up and apologised. In the 77th minute, Nguyễn Cadeo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Nguyễn Cadeo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lưu Phu in the 91st minute of play forced Manchester Dr Fc's goalkeeper Nguyễn Phu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nguyễn Cadeo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Phu having to interfere. Nguyễn Pham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mai Huynh Duc in the 95th minute of play. Manchester Dr Fc were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
