An unexpectedly hard shot by Phan Lan in the 25th minute of play forced Thai Huu FC's goalkeeper Đặng Nga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Thai Huu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Trần Duong came free, but Đặng Nga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Phan Lan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Đặng Nga came out and tried to block the shot, but Phan Lan slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 28th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Pirroni-cum-Moze FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Than came free, but Lê Liem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lê Liem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Huỳnh Liem, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Đặng Nga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phan Lan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the match, Thai Huu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Phan Lan came free, but Đặng Nga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Phan Lan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Thai Huu FC's goalkeeper Đặng Nga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Thai Huu FC's zone, Nguyễn Chung stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Đặng Nga came out of the goal and Nguyễn Chung tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Phan Lan was the one to do the kick off. Thai Huu FC's Huỳnh Liem got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thai Huu FC's Đặng Nga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phan Lan in the 55th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Phan Lan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pirroni-cum-Moze FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Phan Lan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Đặng Nga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Thai Huu FC defense, Phan Lan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Đặng Nga. The Thai Huu FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Đặng Nga should have stopped the shot. Lê Liem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Ho in the 65th minute of the match. Lê Hoang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Lê Liem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Pirroni-cum-Moze FC's Lê Liem got control of the ball when Huỳnh Liem tried to sneak it across the goal line. 73 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pirroni-cum-Moze FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Võ Hoa was slow to take the kick. During this time Thai Huu FC's players had a chance to rest. Thai Huu FC's Lê Hoang was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lê Liem in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 73 minutes into the game, Thai Huu FC's Lê Hoang nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lê Liem made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. If Phan Lan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute, Phùng Anh Hung got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 82 minutes, Phan Lan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pirroni-cum-Moze FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Phan Lan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Phan Lan notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Thai Huu FC's Đặng Nga. Đặng Nga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Phan Lan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Đặng Nga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Phan Lan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pirroni-cum-Moze FC's Phan Lan got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Pirroni-cum-Moze FC had played much better football throughout.
