Trần Tuan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Huynh Duc in the 13th minute of the match. Nguyễn Phuc made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Dương Hung sent off a good shot on target. Phạm Lien's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Nguyễn Phuc skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Đặng Hong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gia Huy FC's Đặng Hong got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nguyễn Huynh Duc in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Trần Tuan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 26th minute, Đặng Hong hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes into the match, Gia Huy FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Huynh Duc came free, but Trần Tuan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Võ Lam's late challenge caught a Gia Huy FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Võ Lam helped the player get up and apologised. In the 32nd minute, Võ Lam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Phạm Lien sped through SLNA FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nguyễn Phuc. Nguyễn Ho hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Phạm Lien made a kick off. La Nam blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nguyễn Phuc having to make a save. After 60 played minutes, Gia Huy FC's Đặng Hong shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nguyễn Phuc came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gia Huy FC reached it. Dương Hung sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Phùng Nhật Minh charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Phùng Nhật Minh the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Phùng Nhật Minh hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Nguyễn Phuc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from La Nam, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 77th match minute, Gia Huy FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Đặng Hong to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind SLNA FC's goalkeeper Nguyễn Phuc, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phạm Lien in the 83rd minute of play forced SLNA FC's goalkeeper Nguyễn Phuc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Phạm Lien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute Lê Bien shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trần Tuan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trần Tuan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lê Bien, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Nguyễn Phuc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dương Hung in the 94th minute of play. Phạm Lien sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gia Huy FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
