Thai Huu FC's Huỳnh Liem got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lưu Huy hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the match, Da Nang's goalkeeper Nguyễn Nam had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Huỳnh Liem. 25 minutes into the game, Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Da Nang's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Thai Huu FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Da Nang's Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute, Huỳnh Liem got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 33 minutes into the game, Đinh Huỳnh was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Đặng Nga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Đinh Huỳnh in the 56th minute of the match. Thai Huu FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Đinh Huỳnh 60 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-1. In the 69th minute, Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thai Huu FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Võ Hoa in the 71st minute. After a rather tough play, Thai Huu FC's Võ Hoa got a free kick in the 74th minute. Thai Huu FC's Đặng Nga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Đinh Huỳnh in the 75th minute of play. After 78 played minutes Da Nang got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh. Nguyễn Nam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Huỳnh Liem, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nguyễn Nam stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nguyễn Than's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Nghiêm Loc hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Da Nang's zone, Nguyễn Than stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nguyễn Nam came out of the goal and Nguyễn Than tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Huỳnh Liem in the 90th minute of play forced Da Nang's goalkeeper Nguyễn Nam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Thai Huu FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Trần Hoang hit a great ball. Da Nang's Đinh Huỳnh got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Da Nang's Nguyễn Nam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Huỳnh Liem in the 96th minute of play. Chants of Da Nang echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Thai Huu FC had held the ball for most of the match.
