Trần Ho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 8th minute, Trần Thai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Vinh Yen's Huỳnh Anh Hung got a free kick in the 15th minute. Hoàng Phu's late challenge caught a Vinh Yen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hoàng Hanh hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Dương Nam managed to get in a good position for a shot. HA NOI's supporters rose to their feet, but Dương Nam was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lê Loc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lê Loc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dương Nam in the 91st minute of play.
