Mai Van Quyen hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, RPT AK's Lê Minh got a free kick in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phan Huỳnh in the 9th minute of play forced FC GOCCAY's goalkeeper Phạm Thanh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, RPT AK's Lê Minh seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Lê Minh the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of RPT AK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lê Minh had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in RPT AK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 12th minute. Penalty! An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Nam in the 17th minute of play forced RPT AK's goalkeeper Phạm Diem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Lê Tuyet had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Phạm Diem. RPT AK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lê Tuyet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 25 minutes into the match, Mai Van Quyen sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Phạm Thanh threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Mai Van Quyen this time. FC GOCCAY's Phạm Thanh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trần Minh Phượng in the 29th minute of play. The supporters of RPT AK booed when FC GOCCAY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Quang didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute, Trần Minh Phượng reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Phạm Thanh. The goal made the score 1-1. RPT AK's Phan Huỳnh got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Trần Minh Phượng in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Phạm Thanh, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lê Tuyet in the 40th minute of play forced RPT AK's goalkeeper Phạm Diem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nguyễn Nam in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Phạm Diem saved RPT AK from getting behind. 42 minutes into the match, RPT AK's goal looked a bit too open when Lê Tuyet came free, but Phạm Diem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Phạm Thanh made an important save on a dangerous shot by Trần Minh Phượng in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Trần Minh Phượng to strike the kick off in the second half. Phạm Diem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Dung, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 55 minutes into the game, Lê Tuyet recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Phạm Diem. Lê Tuyet showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nguyễn Nam got free with Phạm Diem in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 59th minute Lê Tuyet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phạm Diem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Phạm Thanh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hoàng Phuong in the 62nd minute of play. Phạm Diem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lê Tuyet, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Nguyễn Dung could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Phạm Diem made a huge save. After 68 minutes of play, FC GOCCAY's Nguyễn Nam made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Phạm Diem was left in no man's land by his defense there! Phạm Diem made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nguyễn Nam in the 73rd minute. Trần Minh Phượng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Phạm Thanh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trần Minh Phượng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phạm Thanh having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Nguyễn Quang ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Phạm Diem was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Lê Tuyet received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Phạm Diem came out and tried to block the shot, but Lê Tuyet slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 86th minute. The RPT AK supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC GOCCAY's performance. The match ended with a win for FC GOCCAY.
