Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Nguyễn Van Quyen made the kick off which started today's match. In the 10thth minute of the game Võ Tu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tay Ninh's Bùi Nguyet was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Nguyễn Van Quyen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute of the match Phạm Nghiêm-Minh sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bùi Nguyet skillfully saved the ball. 21 minutes into the game, Nguyễn Duong was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Can Tho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tay Ninh the free kick. Nguyễn Hoa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trần Hoa in the 26th minute of the match. When Nguyễn Thai fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Can Tho's protests and gave Nguyễn Thai a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Can Tho's Nguyễn Thai got a free kick in the 37th minute. Nguyễn Hoa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trần Hoa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Huỳnh Minh-ha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Trần Hoa to strike the kick off in the second half. Võ Tu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bùi Nguyet having to make a save. Võ Tu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Bùi Nguyet made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trần Hoa in the 62nd minute of play forced Can Tho's goalkeeper Nguyễn Hoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 65 minutes, Huỳnh Minh-ha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tay Ninh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Huỳnh Minh-ha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Huỳnh Minh-ha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Hoa having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Trần Hoa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tay Ninh fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Bùi Nguyet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Van Quyen, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Võ Tu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Bùi Nguyet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Can Tho booed when Tay Ninh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hồ Xuan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Can Tho's Võ Tu got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bùi Nguyet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Van Quyen in the 78th minute of the match. When Võ Tu came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Can Tho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Võ Tu couldn't finish the play. Huỳnh Minh-ha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Nguyễn Hoa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tay Ninh fans cheered their team off the field, for while Can Tho had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
