Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nguyễn Van Quyen kicked off to start the match. In the 19th minute, Lê Tuyet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC GOCCAY fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Nguyễn Nam came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the FC GOCCAY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nguyễn Nam couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Lê Tuyet managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC GOCCAY's supporters rose to their feet, but Lê Tuyet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nguyễn Hoa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Can Tho defense, Nguyễn Nam kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nguyễn Hoa. The Can Tho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nguyễn Hoa should have stopped the shot. 47 minutes into the match, Nguyễn Thai dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Phạm Thanh, 1-2. After the first half FC GOCCAY were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Lê Tuyet made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Lê Tuyet recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nguyễn Hoa. Lê Tuyet showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Nguyễn Thi kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Phạm Thanh stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Võ Tu's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Can Tho's Nguyễn Thai sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Phạm Thanh narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, FC GOCCAY's Nguyễn Dung got a free kick in the 64th minute. 66 minutes into the match, Võ Tu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Phạm Thanh. FC GOCCAY's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Võ Tu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Võ Tu in the 74th minute of play forced FC GOCCAY's goalkeeper Phạm Thanh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Nguyễn Van Quyen came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Can Tho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nguyễn Van Quyen couldn't finish the play. Võ Tu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nguyễn Van Quyen struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Phạm Thanh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Can Tho. Nguyễn Thai's late challenge caught a FC GOCCAY's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nguyễn Thai helped the player get up and apologised. Nguyễn Thai kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Nguyễn Thi sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Nguyễn Hoa threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Nguyễn Thi this time. Nguyễn Thi shot a hard long shot which touched the left pole and just rolled over the goal line behind Nguyễn Hoa. 88 minutes into the game was 2-4. Nguyễn Nam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC GOCCAY eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
