Bùi Nguyet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hồ Phuc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Tay Ninh booed when Ha Noi F.C.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trần Khoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Trần Hoa came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Tay Ninh fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Trần Hoa couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Trần Hoa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tay Ninh's supporters rose to their feet, but Trần Hoa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Huỳnh Tu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Huỳnh Tu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trần Hoa in the 17th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, Tay Ninh's goalkeeper Bùi Nguyet had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nguyễn Loc. After a rather tough play, Ha Noi F.C.V.'s Huỳnh Chuong got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Huỳnh Tu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trần Hoa in the 25th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Trần Hoa in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Huỳnh Tu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 30th minute, one of Tay Ninh:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tay Ninh. The goalkeeper, Bùi Nguyet, was totally fooled by Ha Noi F.C.V.'s Trần Khoi, who 31 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Trần Hoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Huỳnh Tu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Huỳnh Tu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trần Hoa in the 41st minute of play.

Trần Hoa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Huỳnh Tu having to make a save. In the 54th minute Nguyễn Loc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bùi Nguyet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Loc in the 55th minute of play forced Tay Ninh's goalkeeper Bùi Nguyet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Trần Hoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Huỳnh Tu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Trần Hoa's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Huỳnh Tu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Huỳnh Minh-ha in the 73rd minute. With his leg Huỳnh Tu managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Tay Ninh's Huỳnh Minh-ha fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Nguyễn Loc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bùi Nguyet having to interfere. Phạm Tho kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Tay Ninh's Bùi Nguyet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Loc in the 80th minute of play. Huỳnh Minh-has short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Huỳnh Tu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Trần Hoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Huỳnh Tu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trần Tuan kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Nguyễn Thanh Bình was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 90th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 95 minutes, Nguyễn Thanh mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ha Noi F.C.V. and the Tay Ninh players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nguyễn Thanh hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, Ha Noi F.C.V. could leave the field as winners, despite Tay Ninh having more of the ball for most of the match.
