Lê Nga was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Trần Minh Phượng showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 16 minute of play. When Van Don Port's Lý Lam in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye RPT AK's goalie prevented a goal. Lê Ho was slow to take the kick. During this time RPT AK's players had a chance to rest. RPT AK's Lê Ho was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lê Nga in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Phạm Diem didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lý Lam went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Phạm Diem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Huỳnh Hoang in the 35th minute of the match. When Van Don Port's Lý Lam in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye RPT AK's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Van Don Port booed when RPT AK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. A collision led to Van Don Port getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Đặng Binh hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Van Don Port's zone, Trần Minh Phượng stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lê Nga came out of the goal and Trần Minh Phượng tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

If Lý Lam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 54 played minutes RPT AK got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Tuyet. Phạm Diem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lý Lam, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Nguyễn Tan kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Lý Lam dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Phạm Diem, 1-3. If Đặng Quang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the game, Lý Lam lined in a short shot 1-4 behind a frustrated Phạm Diem. Trương Huỳnh made in the 73rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Đinh Hoang. Lý Lam did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-5 to the left of a surprised Phạm Diem 76 minutes into the match. When Lê Ho fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Van Don Port's protests and gave Lê Ho a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of RPT AK booed when Van Don Port was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lê Ho didn't get a good kick on the ball. The throw-in from Đặng Binh in the 86th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by RPT AK's Hoàng Phuong. 87 minutes into the match, Trần Minh Phượng notched a goal, 2-5, to the right of Van Don Port's Lê Nga. Lê Nga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Van Don Port booed when RPT AK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hoàng Phuong didn't get a good kick on the ball. Trần Minh Phượng hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Phạm Diem was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and Lý Lam capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lý Lam really showed his touch with that goal: 2-6. Van Don Port's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
