Nguyễn Loc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Xuan having to interfere. In the 11th match minute, Ha Noi F.C.V. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hồ Phuc to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nguyễn Loc got free with Trần Xuan in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to PADFC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Nguyễn Lan hit a great ball. Phan Dung fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Huỳnh Tu having to interfere. After 24 played minutes PADFC got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Lan. In the 25th minute of the match Trần Khoi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Trần Xuan skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hồ Phuc in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Trần Xuan saved PADFC from getting behind. Tạ Phu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the game, PADFC's Phan Dung nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Huỳnh Tu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. With an all-out effort, Ha Noi F.C.V.'s Trần Xuan threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hồ Phuc, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 36th minute, Phan Dung got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, PADFC's Phạm Nhật Minh got a free kick in the 37th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hồ Phuc to make the kick off. The supporters of Ha Noi F.C.V. booed when PADFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Lan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 52nd minute, Hồ Phuc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Trần Xuan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hồ Phuc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Trần Xuan came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Ha Noi F.C.V.'s Nguyễn Loc. But to his dismay, Nguyễn Loc quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Nguyễn Loc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Xuan having to interfere. After a rather tough play, PADFC's Triệu Hung got a free kick in the 68th minute. Trần Khoi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Trần Xuan. PADFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Trần Xuan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hồ Phuc in the 76th minute of play. Nguyễn Loc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Xuan having to interfere. Hồ Phuc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Xuan having to interfere. Trần Xuan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hồ Phuc in the 84th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Nguyễn Loc notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of PADFC's Trần Xuan. Trần Xuan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ha Noi F.C.V. had won after a very even match.
