Võ Tu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nguyễn Nam read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Nguyễn Nam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Võ Tu in the 77th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Võ Tu in the 81st minute of play forced Mong Cai's goalkeeper Nguyễn Nam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hoàng Binh in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nguyễn Nam prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nguyễn Nam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hoàng Binh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bùi Lam kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Hoàng Binh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute, Nguyễn Dung hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Can Tho's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
