Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lê Phu started the match with the kick off. Lê Phu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nguyễn Huynh Duc having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lê Phu in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nguyễn Huynh Duc saved Gang Thép FC from getting behind. Vũ Hanh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lê Tran took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nguyễn Huynh Duc. Gang Thép FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 19th minute, Gang Thép FC's Hoàng Anh Hung ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Đặng Minh Phượng. Đặng Minh Phượng yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. A collision led to Easup United getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Nguyễn Loc hit a great ball. Gang Thép FC's Chung Huỳnh got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Đặng Minh Phượng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hoàng Anh Hung, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nguyễn Huynh Duc didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vũ Hanh went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Trần Tinh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Vũ Hanh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Lê Phu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lê Phu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Huynh Duc having to interfere. Phạm Tho kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Gang Thép FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vũ Hanh came free, but Nguyễn Huynh Duc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Trần Tinh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Nguyễn Huynh Duc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Trần Tan to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Lưu Tong cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Đặng Minh Phượng was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nguyễn Huynh Duc came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Easup United's Trần Tinh. But to his dismay, Trần Tinh quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Trần Tinh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 61 played minutes Gang Thép FC got a freekick which was hit by Võ Cuc. Nguyễn Huynh Duc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Chuong in the 65th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Gang Thép FC's zone, Vũ Hanh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nguyễn Huynh Duc came out of the goal and Vũ Hanh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nguyễn Huynh Duc acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 67th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Lê Tran. If Vũ Hanh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lê Phu in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nguyễn Huynh Duc prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Đặng Minh Phượng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Tuan in the 79th minute of the match. Chung Huỳnh struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Đặng Minh Phượng didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gang Thép FC. 86 minutes into the match, Easup United's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Tuan came free, but Đặng Minh Phượng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute Hoàng Anh Hung shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Đặng Minh Phượng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 91 minutes, Trần Tinh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Easup United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Trần Tinh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nguyễn Chuong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Easup United were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
