The audience thought a goal was coming when Phạm Nam got free with Nguyễn Huynh Duc in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Nguyễn Minh made the kick off in the second half. Lê Tuan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nguyễn Huynh Duc. Gang Thép FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Nguyễn Tuan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Vũ Hoa made a huge save. Nguyễn Minh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Nguyễn Huynh Duc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th match minute, Bac Kan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Than to maneuver through the defense. If Trần Tan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trần Hoang hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The Gang Thép FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Bac Kan from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
