In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Choban FC's goalkeeper Nguyễn Hieu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nguyễn Hieu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bùi Anh Hung's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. The supporters of Kim Lien booed when Choban FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Huỳnh Cong Vinh didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bùi Anh Hung made a kick off. After 51 minutes of play, Kim Lien's Đặng Hong Minh made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nguyễn Hieu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 58th minute, Trần Liem ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iwan Bronkala was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3.
