After 6 minutes of play, Gang Thép FC's Trần Tan made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. With 14 minutes on the clock, Phan Tong commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Phan Tong hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Chung Huỳnh struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Đỗ Diem didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gang Thép FC. When Trần Tan fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gang Thép FC's protests and gave Trần Tan a yellow card for diving instead. Trần Tan hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Tôn Duong made in the 21st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Tuyin Quan's Nguyễn Hoa. Đỗ Diem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trần Tan in the 25th minute of the match. Nguyễn Hoa kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Đỗ Diem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trần Tan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Trần Tan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Nguyễn Tuan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gang Thép FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

A collision led to Tuyin Quan getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Nguyễn Hoa hit a great ball. Đỗ Diem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lưu Tong in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Lưu Tong left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gang Thép FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Nguyễn Tuan took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Đỗ Diem. Đỗ Diem dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. After 71 played minutes Tuyin Quan got a freekick which was hit by Đào Minh-ha. Đỗ Diem came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Gang Thép FC's Hoàng Anh Hung. But to his dismay, Hoàng Anh Hung quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Hoàng Anh Hung hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Nguyễn Tuan struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Đỗ Diem didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gang Thép FC. In the 88th minute, Lưu Tong got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee ended the match the Gang Thép FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
