Phan Chung showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Huỳnh Cong Vinh in the 25th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trần Than in the 28th minute of play forced AnHugo's goalkeeper Phan Chung to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, AnHugo's Phạm Chi got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 32nd minute Đặng Tuyet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phan Chung saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Phan Chung made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Dung in the 34th minute of play. Trần Huỳnh struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Nguyễn Hieu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AnHugo. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lê Chung was the one to do the kick off. Lê Chung received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Nguyễn Hieu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th match minute, AnHugo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trần Lan to maneuver through the defense. Choban FC's Phan Quang Thanh took a good shot, in the 68th minute, which hit the crossbar above Phan Chung's head, and flew over the goal. AnHugo's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Choban FC. After 70 played minutes AnHugo got a freekick which was hit by Trần Huỳnh. After 74 minutes AnHugo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Phan Quang Thanh who took care of the corner kick. Choban FC's Nguyễn Hieu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lê Chung in the 76th minute of play. 77 minutes had been played when some careless play by Choban FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lê Chung was slow to take the kick. During this time AnHugo's players had a chance to rest. In the 78th minute of the match AnHugo got a corner. Choban FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lê Chung ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of Choban FC booed when AnHugo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trần Lan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Lê Chung managed to get in a good position for a shot. AnHugo's supporters rose to their feet, but Lê Chung was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nguyễn Hieu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lê Chung sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 97th minute, Trần Liem made a precise shot to the right of Phan Chung. AnHugo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2.
