The audience thought a goal was coming when Nguyễn Duy got free with Bùi Than in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Trương Phuoc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the match, Trần Thuyet notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Hoa Binh's Trần Chuong. The crowd rose to their feet as TT FC's Trần Thuyet slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Trần Chuong. That made the score 3-2 after 72 minutes of play.
