Seating: 1900, VIP seats: 60) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Trần Duong kicked off to start the match. Tuyen Quang's Nguyễn Huynh Duc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trần Duong in the 7th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Ngô Tuan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tuyen Quang's supporters rose to their feet, but Ngô Tuan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lê Nhật Minh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Tuyen Quang's Đoàn Tuan Hoang got a free kick in the 14th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Tuyen Quang's zone, Nguyễn Chi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nguyễn Huynh Duc came out of the goal and Nguyễn Chi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nguyễn Huynh Duc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trần Diem in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Nguyễn Cadeo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Trần Duong's late challenge caught a Tuyen Quang's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Trần Duong helped the player get up and apologised. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Trần Diem managed to get in a good position for a shot. Khanh Hoa's supporters rose to their feet, but Trần Diem was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nguyễn Huynh Duc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ngô Tuan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Lê Nhật Minh made a huge save. Lương Thanh Bình kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. If Trần Diem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nguyễn Than hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. 45 minutes into the match, Lê Minh Phượng dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lê Nhật Minh, 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ngô Tuan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Khanh Hoa booed when Tuyen Quang was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Cadeo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nguyễn Loc kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trần Duong in the 54th minute of play forced Tuyen Quang's goalkeeper Nguyễn Huynh Duc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trần Diem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Huynh Duc having to interfere. Nguyễn Tuyet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lê Nhật Minh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ngô Tuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the match, Ngô Tuan notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Khanh Hoa's Lê Nhật Minh. Lê Nhật Minh was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 84 minutes, Lương Thanh Bình mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tuyen Quang and the Khanh Hoa players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Tuyen Quang's Lương Thanh Bình got a free kick in the 85th minute. 86 minutes into the game, Lê Phuoc was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tuyen Quang's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Khanh Hoa the free kick. Lê Phuoc kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th minute of the match Nguyễn Chi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nguyễn Huynh Duc showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Trần Diem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute, Nguyễn Tuyet fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Nguyễn Huynh Duc, passed just outside the right post. The Tuyen Quang players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
