Skyblue's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bùi Phuc was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Trần Minh stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bùi Phuc's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bùi Phuc in the 39th minute of play forced Skyblue's goalkeeper Trần Minh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute Bùi Phuc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trần Minh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 45 played minutes Skyblue got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Minh. Bùi Phuc charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Skyblue's Trần Minh proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Skyblue from getting a goal against them. Bùi Phuc who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Trần Minh when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 74th minute, Bùi Phuc fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Trần Minh, passed just outside the right post. Bùi Phuc could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Trần Minh made a huge save. If Bùi Phuc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Bùi Phuc kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Trần Minh. That made the score 1-4 in the 86 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in HA NOI MESI's zone, Nguyễn Chi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hoàng Hung came out of the goal and Nguyễn Chi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Skyblue's Trần Minh got control of the ball when Bùi Phuc tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Skyblue fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. HA NOI MESI were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
