The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Ba Ria Vung Tau FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hoàng Binh came free, but Lê Hoai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nghiêm Minh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vũ Ho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7th minute, Vũ Ho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ba Ria Vung Tau FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Nguyễn Van Quyen sped through Ba Ria Vung Tau FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lê Hoai. Lê Hoai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hoàng Binh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hoàng Binh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lê Hoai having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Ba Ria Vung Tau FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Van Quyen came free, but Lê Hoai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Ba Ria Vung Tau FC's goalkeeper Lê Hoai had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nguyễn Van Quyen. Vũ Ho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nghiêm Minh having to interfere. If Nguyễn Quang Thanh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lê Hoai was a little too slow when Hoàng Binh got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 2-1. D Suneil's Nghiêm Minh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vũ Ho in the 37th minute of play. 38 minutes into the game, Nguyễn Van Quyen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. D Suneil's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ba Ria Vung Tau FC the free kick. In the 38th minute, Nguyễn Van Quyen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nghiêm Minh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vũ Ho in the 41st minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, Ba Ria Vung Tau FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hoàng Binh came free, but Lê Hoai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Huỳnh Duc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Vũ Ho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ba Ria Vung Tau FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vũ Ho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nghiêm Minh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ba Ria Vung Tau FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nguyễn Quang Thanh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nghiêm Minh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vũ Ho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hoàng Binh in the 54th minute of play forced Ba Ria Vung Tau FC's goalkeeper Lê Hoai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 64 minutes, Phan Lam mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ba Ria Vung Tau FC and the D Suneil players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 64 played minutes Ba Ria Vung Tau FC got a freekick which was hit by Phan Lam. Hoàng Binh scored 3-1 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lê Hoai, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nguyễn Van Quyen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Lê Hoai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute Hoàng Binh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lê Hoai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute of the match, Nguyễn Quang Thanh got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nghiêm Minh was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ba Ria Vung Tau FC's Vũ Ho got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With splendid footwork Vũ Ho arrived in front of goal to shoot 3-2 by the left pole in the game's 80th minute. Lê Hoai came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by D Suneil's Hoàng Binh. But to his dismay, Hoàng Binh quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Nghiêm Minh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vũ Ho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. D Suneil's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
