The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nguyễn Hanh showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Ba Ria Vung Tau FC's Nguyễn Quang Thanh got a free kick in the 24th minute. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Nguyễn Hieu Ngan sped through Ba Ria Vung Tau FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lê Hoai. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nguyễn Hieu Ngan was the one to do the kick off. Lê Hoai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Hieu Ngan in the 54th minute of the match. Phan Hoang hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 60 minutes into the match, Cam Pha Port's goalkeeper Nguyễn Hanh had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nguyễn Quang Thanh. Nguyễn Quang Thanh's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nguyễn Hanh read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Ba Ria Vung Tau FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vũ Ho in the 64th minute. 64 minutes into the game, one of Cam Pha Port:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 66 minutes, Ba Ria Vung Tau FC's Vũ Ho got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Nguyễn Hanh. Đoàn Dong charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Đoàn Dong the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 72 minutes, Nguyễn Hieu Ngan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cam Pha Port's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nguyễn Hieu Ngan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 74 played minutes Cam Pha Port got a freekick which was hit by Phạm Pham. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cam Pha Port's goalkeeper Nguyễn Hanh, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Phạm Tu kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Nguyễn Hanh stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vũ Ho's shot from short distance in the 84th minute.
