In the 17th minute, Trần Binh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Đông Á Thanh Hóa FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Hồ Mai hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Phan Hoang managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cam Pha Port's supporters rose to their feet, but Phan Hoang was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trần Bay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nguyễn Hanh came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Đông Á Thanh Hóa FC's Trịnh Thanh Bình. But to his dismay, Trịnh Thanh Bình quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After a rather tough play, Cam Pha Port's Đoàn Dong got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 37th minute of the match Nguyễn Nhật Minh shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nguyễn Hanh showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nguyễn Huy succeeded in the game's 38th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. Phạm Pham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Bay having to interfere. Nguyễn Hanh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lê Minh in the 44th minute of the match. Nguyễn Huy took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nguyễn Hanh. Nguyễn Hanh dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The wind increased when Nguyễn Huy made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Cam Pha Port getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Phạm Tu hit a great ball. Nguyễn Hanh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nguyễn Huy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Cam Pha Port's Nguyễn Hanh got control of the ball when Lê Minh tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mai Tuan Hoang kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Lê Minh blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nguyễn Hanh having to make a save. Trịnh Thanh Bình could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Nguyễn Hanh made a huge save. Lê Minh could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Nguyễn Hanh made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nguyễn Hieu Ngan in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Trần Bay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mai Tuan Hoang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Trần Bay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Đông Á Thanh Hóa FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cam Pha Port.
