The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Phạm Tran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Quang Thanh in the 5th minute of the match. After having played for 7 minutes, Vũ Ho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ba Ria Vung Tau FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vũ Ho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 8 minutes into the match, United Fandom FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vũ Ho came free, but Phạm Tran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Ba Ria Vung Tau FC's goal looked a bit too open when Phan Hoa came free, but Lê Hoai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. United Fandom FC's Phạm Tran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save United Fandom FC from getting a goal against them. After 22 minutes of play, United Fandom FC's Nguyễn Than made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lê Hoai was left in no man's land by his defense there! Phạm Tran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vũ Ho in the 28th minute. If Vũ Ho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ba Ria Vung Tau FC's Lê Hoai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chung Hieu Ngan in the 32nd minute of play. Phạm Tran made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Vũ Ho sent off a good shot on target. Nguyễn Than kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Ba Ria Vung Tau FC's Lê Hoai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Chi in the 44th minute of play. Ba Ria Vung Tau FC's Chung Lan shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 46th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Phạm Tran but with some difficulty. The Ba Ria Vung Tau FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. United Fandom FC were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vũ Ho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Chung Lan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ba Ria Vung Tau FC and the United Fandom FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Trần Hong Minh took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lê Hoai. Lê Hoai dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in United Fandom FC's zone, Vũ Ho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Phạm Tran came out of the goal and Vũ Ho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lê Hoai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chung Hieu Ngan in the 59th minute of the match. Nguyễn Than sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chung Hieu Ngan in the 62nd minute of play forced Ba Ria Vung Tau FC's goalkeeper Lê Hoai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lê Hoai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vũ Khoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the match, Vũ Ho notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of United Fandom FC's Phạm Tran. Phạm Tran was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Phạm Tran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Quang Thanh, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 76th match minute, Ba Ria Vung Tau FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chung Lan to maneuver through the defense. Lê Hoai made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chung Hieu Ngan in the 79th minute. Lê Hoai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Than in the 80th minute of play. Lê Hoai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chung Hieu Ngan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Nguyễn Tuan Hoang could shoot a difficult shot in the 88th minute, which Lê Hoai however easily saved by the left post. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Phan Hoa took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Lê Hoai to make any attempt to save it. Phạm Tran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vũ Ho in the 94th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. United Fandom FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
