An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Huy in the 10th minute of play forced D Suneil's goalkeeper Nghiêm Minh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. D Suneil's Nghiêm Minh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Huy in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Hồ Mai made a precise shot to the right of Nghiêm Minh. D Suneil's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. D Suneil's Hoàng Binh pulled a muscle in his back after 19 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 20th match minute, Đông Á Thanh Hóa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Tan to maneuver through the defense. Nguyễn Van Quyen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Bay having to interfere. Nghiêm Minh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Huy, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Nghiêm Minh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trịnh Thanh Bình in the 26th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nguyễn Huy in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nghiêm Minh prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lê Minh might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nghiêm Minh. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lê Minh ran back to his position shaking his head. Nghiêm Minh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lê Minh in the 45th minute of the match. After the first half Đông Á Thanh Hóa FC were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nguyễn Huy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Đông Á Thanh Hóa FC's Trịnh Thanh Bình nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nghiêm Minh made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. In the 70th minute Nguyễn Huy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nghiêm Minh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, D Suneil's Nghiêm Minh got control of the ball when Lê Minh tried to sneak it across the goal line. Trịnh Thanh Bình could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Nghiêm Minh made a huge save. Nghiêm Minh made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Trịnh Thanh Bình sent off a good shot on target. 95 minutes into the match, D Suneil's goalkeeper Nghiêm Minh had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Trịnh Thanh Bình. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Nguyễn Huy took a quick shot and it went in 0-11 without a chance for Nghiêm Minh to make any attempt to save it. When the final whistle sounded Đông Á Thanh Hóa FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than D Suneil.
