The PhuTho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 23 minutes into the match, Buon Ma Thuot's goal looked a bit too open when Trần Bay came free, but Huỳnh Hong Minh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Buon Ma Thuot's Hoàng Hong sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dương Lan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 25 minutes into the game, Buon Ma Thuot's Hoàng Hong nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dương Lan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. 33 minutes into the game, Trần Bay recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Huỳnh Hong Minh. Trần Bay showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-1. Nguyễn Cuc blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Huỳnh Hong Minh having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Trần Bay in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Huỳnh Hong Minh saved Buon Ma Thuot from getting behind. With 39 minutes on the clock, Nguyễn Hoai commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. PhuTho's Đặng Tuan Hoang managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Nguyễn Thi Ngoc in the 44 minute of the game. Trần Bay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Huỳnh Hong Minh having to interfere. In the 46th match minute, Buon Ma Thuot was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Huỳnh Huỳnh to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

If Trần Bay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Huỳnh Hong Minh stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Trần Bay's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Hoàng Hong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Dương Lan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute Huỳnh Huỳnh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dương Lan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. PhuTho's Dương Lan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save PhuTho from getting a goal against them. After 70 played minutes Buon Ma Thuot got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Thi Ngoc. After having played for 73 minutes, Nguyễn Phuc managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buon Ma Thuot's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nguyễn Phuc was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nguyễn Hoa kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Hoa in the 84th minute of play forced PhuTho's goalkeeper Dương Lan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lê Thi kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 89th minute Nguyễn Phuc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dương Lan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nguyễn Phong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Huỳnh Hong Minh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. PhuTho's defense didn't have a chance, in the 95th minute, when Nguyễn Phuc scored to the left of an out of position Dương Lan, making the score, 4-2. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. PhuTho had played much better football throughout.
