If Nguyễn Loc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 10th minute, Nguyễn Liem ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nguyễn Thien was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The audience was convinced that Torsten Grep's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nguyễn Thien was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. In the 17th minute Trần Hong Minh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathis Vendeville saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Hai Duong booed when TheNoobNewbie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Loc didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Torsten Grep in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nguyễn Thien saved Hai Duong from getting behind. Hoàng Huynh Duc might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mathis Vendeville. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hoàng Huynh Duc ran back to his position shaking his head. 29 minutes into the match, Hai Duong's goal looked a bit too open when Torsten Grep came free, but Nguyễn Thien reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Nguyễn Loc managed to get in a good position for a shot. TheNoobNewbie's supporters rose to their feet, but Nguyễn Loc was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nguyễn Thien breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 44th play minutes Torsten Grep shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Nguyễn Thien and just under the crossbar into goal.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Torsten Grep to make the kick off. Nguyễn Thien made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torsten Grep in the 51st minute of play. After having played for 52 minutes, Nguyễn Loc managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TheNoobNewbie's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nguyễn Loc was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Trần Hong Minh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathis Vendeville having to interfere. Torsten Grep could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Nguyễn Thien made a huge save. Torsten Greps short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Nguyễn Thien to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience was convinced that Torsten Grep's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nguyễn Thien was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. TheNoobNewbie's Huỳnh Bien got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 64th minute, TheNoobNewbie's Dennis Bålström seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Dennis Bålström the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of TheNoobNewbie protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Dennis Bålström had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 64th minute, one of TheNoobNewbie:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for TheNoobNewbie. TheNoobNewbie:s Mathis Vendeville showed great skill when he stopped Nguyễn Nga:s penalty. After a rather tough play, TheNoobNewbie's Nguyễn Loc got a free kick in the 68th minute. Nguyễn Liem struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Nguyễn Thien didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TheNoobNewbie. Nguyễn Loc charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nguyễn Loc the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 80 played minutes TheNoobNewbie got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Loc. Nguyễn Liem blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nguyễn Thien having to make a save. In the 89th minute, Hai Duong's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Torsten Grep fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 92 minutes into the match, Torsten Grep notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Hai Duong's Nguyễn Thien. Nguyễn Thien was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
